Dochula Pass

Dochula, located on a scenic mountain pass in Bhutan, is renowned for its stunning 360-degree panoramic views of the Himalayas. At an elevation of 3,100 meters (10,200 feet), it offers breathtaking vistas, especially on clear days.

The highlight of Dochula is the Druk Wangyal Chortens (stupas), a collection of 108 memorial stupas built in 2003 by Queen Mother Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck. These chortens, arranged in rows on a hillock, create a striking and serene sight against the backdrop of snow-capped peaks.

Dochula also features the Druk Wangyal Lhakhang, a temple adorned with intricate murals depicting Bhutanese history and culture. The site is a popular stop for travelers between Thimphu and Punakha, offering spiritual tranquility and natural beauty.
