Visitors can enter Bhutan by air through Paro or by land through Phuentsholing and Samdrup Jongkhar, bordering West Bengal and Assam, India, respectively.
Paro International Airport is the only international airport in Bhutan. The descent into Paro valley offers a thrilling experience with close mountain views. Bhutan also has three domestic airports: Gelephu Airport (south), Yonphula (east), and Bumthang Airport (central). The two airlines operating in Bhutan are Drukair and Bhutan Airlines.
